Lloyds TSB Middle East has announced the appointment of Chris Balfour as consumer banking director for its Dubai-based operations. Balfour has worked with Lloyds TSB for more than 21 years. He began working in Dubai in 2005 as the head of offshore banking after leaving the bank’s UK operations on the Isle of Man and was promoted to head of personal banking in 2006. Following his appointment, Balfour said, “The Middle East market is currently in a most exciting phase and I am pleased to be able to continue bringing our international expertise to our local customers. At Lloyds TSB Middle East we are proud of our achievements, excellent customer service and banking talent. I am determined to build on the success of my predecessor Steve Williams by continuing to offer excellent products and services to our customers in line with global best practices.” Lloyds TSB Middle East is part of Lloyds TSB Group which employs over 70,000 people in more than 20 countries worldwide.
