Gamco bags UAE Air Force contract

Gamco bags UAE Air Force contractAbu Dhabi. The United Arab Emirates Air Force and Air Defense has awarded a five-year contract worth 343 million UAE dirhams ($93.4 million) to Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Co. (Gamco). The contract is for carrying out second line scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the Air Force fleet of Hawk MK 102, MK63 and MK61 aircraft based at Khalifa bin Zayed Air College in Al Ain and Al Minhad Airbase in Dubai. The contract includes component maintenance, engineering and technical support services, training services, maintenance planning and control, and logistics and supply support. Abu Dhabi based Gamco is a technical and maintenance services provider for the aviation industry, servicing more than 80 commercial and military customers, and offers full overhaul capability on all Airbus, Boeing and Lockheed aircraft. The deal comes a week after Gamco bagged a contract with the Tunisian Air Force to carry out maintenance on its Lockheed C130 aircraft.
